Attractions in the surroundings of Falzes
Excursion tips
The village of Falzes includes the parishes of Issengo and Grimaldo and the hamlets Kofl and Plata. A popular destination in Issengo is the medieval of castle Schöneck, which was first mentioned in the 12th century. At the foot of the hill, there is the so-called hanging spruce, a botanical attraction. The thin branches of the spruce wind their way down to ground around the entire trunk and give the conifer an extraordinary appearance. The lake of Issengo is a small natural lake located in the same parish, while over the municipal area of Falzes the Irrenberg-Alm offers an unspoilt hiking area.
